MOHMAND: Unknown assailants shot dead a district administration’s Moharar Abdul Hameed here on Tuesday.
Police sources said that Mr Hameed was going home from the tehsildar’s office after performing his duty when unidentified motorcyclists shot him dead near Danishkol Speen Jumaat.
After the incident, the police reached the area and launched a search operation. The victim’s body was taken to the district headquarters hospital, Ghalanai, for postmortem.
They said that Mr Hameed belonged to Ambar tehsil. Malik Izzat Khan, father of the deceased, is an influential elder in the region who also remained head of a peace committee.
