NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl provincial chief Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman said here on Sunday that government was sensing its defeat in the upcoming Senate elections.

Talking to party workers, he said that the success of Pakistan Democratic Movement candidates in the by-polls affected the nervous system of the leaders of the ruling party.

MPA-elect Ikhtiar Wali Khan of PML-N, JUI-F district emir Qari Mohammad Aslam, Mufti Hakim Ali, Qari Riazullah and others were also present on the occasion.

Maulana Attaur Rehman said that government was trying to flee from Senate elections through show of hands instead of secret ballot and other tactics.

He said that the activists of JUI-F not only responded to the orders of their leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman but were also playing their due role in restoration of real democracy in the country. He said that 600 fake votes were polled in Kurram by-elections as the same seat was previously won by JUI-F.
