Hungary has raised the prospect that citizens who have already had the coronavirus or been vaccinated against it could receive waivers from certain restrictions, Reuters reports.
The waivers, outlined in a nationwide survey, would be linked to certificates to be issued to those deemed to be protected from the virus. They include exemptions from restrictions in place since November such as a night-time curfew.
It was unclear whether Hungarians, many of whom are reluctant to get inoculated against Covid-19, would be ready to back such privileges for those deemed to be protected. The survey also included an option for curbs to stay until the end of the pandemic.
