QUETTA: The US government on Wednesday handed over 20 pickup trucks and 2500 first aid kits to Balochistan police to improve their capacity for maintaining law and order in the province.

According to information officer /spokesperson for the US Consulate, Karachi, as part of its ongoing partnership with the government of Balochistan, the US government delivered 20 pickup trucks and 2500 First Aid Kits (valued at $800,000) to Balochistan police.

“This US-Pakistan initiative helps enhance the capability of the Balochistan police to effectively respond to requests for police services and is just one of the ways the United States and Pakistan are working together to develop effective, professional and transparent law- enforcement institutions,” the spokesperson said.
