ACE looking into retired police official’s assets

SHEIKHUPURA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment has initiated an inquiry against a retired police officer for allegedly holding assets beyond means.

The retired deputy superintendent of police allegedly bought properties, such as commercial and agricultural land, in the district during his service.

The circle officer said they had written to the revenue department to furnish the complete record in this connection.

ROBBERY: Four gunmen barged into the house of a trader in the city locality of Dera Khursaid on Monday.

The intruders held the family of Zubair Safdar at gunpoint, collected cash and ornaments and injured Safdar when he tried to capture one of them.

Safdar was shifted to hospital, where his condition was stated to be unstable.The B-Division police are looking into the matter.
