The National Command and Operation Centre has said that the national positivity rate is 5.9 per cent, adding that Karachi has the highest rate at 15.97pc.

In a statement, the NCOC said that Karachi was followed by Peshawar with 13.62pc and Mirpur with 11.49pc. The statement said that 2,294 Covid-19 patients are in critical condition across Pakistan and the number of such patients is rising fast.

The positivity rate in provinces and federating units is as follows:

  1. Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 7.36pc
  2. Balochistan: 4.75pc
  3. Islamabad: 2.43pc
  4. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 5.55pc
  5. Punjab: 4.49pc
  6. Sindh: 9.49pc
