United or divided?

Published January 13, 2021

ON Jan 6, an angry mob of Trump supporters attacked the iconic Capitol Hill, exposing the worth of the American democratic norms. The majority of Americans who have now elected Joe Biden as their next president watched and repented why they tolerated such a dishonest man as their head of state for four long years.

Living in a developing country like Pakistan, we feel sorry for the poor US voters who are now themselves facing demonstrations and sit-ins that CIA operatives used to spread in other countries.

It is surprising how people in the US have been tolerating this nonsense since Nov 3 last. If not controlled, the anarchy in the US can prove disastrous as we know nearly a dozen of states have resolutions of seceding from the US already passed and lying in the archives of respective states.

Unless the rule of law is enforced immediately, and Trump is removed from the White House, the situation will not get better in the US. Trump should be booked for inciting people for this outrage that claimed innocent lives.

There have been gathering clouds that might turn the superpower into a third world country. May God bless the humanity!
