MULTAN: Mr Z.A. Bhutto, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party said today [Dec 22] that the immediate task of vital importance facing the nation was to determine the quantum of regional autonomy within limits of national solidarity and to bring about basic changes in the present economic set-up. Speaking at a reception here ... Mr Bhutto said participation of all the provinces of the country in the Constitution-making and sharing of power was imperative as no Constitution or Government imposed by one province on others would have any chance of enduring long.
Mr Bhutto said his party has no lust for power. It, however, wanted position of authority simply to fulfil the pledges made to the people who have given the party a clear mandate in the elections.
