LAHORE: A judicial magistrate at Model Town courts on Thursday granted post-arrest bail to sound system provider Asif Nazir aka DJ Butt in a case of possessing an alleged illegal weapon and interference in official work.

Mr Butt had been providing a sound system to the rallies of the PML-N in Lahore and elsewhere and for the Dec 13 rally his services were hired.

The police had arrested him at his office in Model Town.

Talking to reporters outside the court, Butt alleged that the police tortured and humiliated him in custody. He said the police personnel used abusive language against women of his family.

Butt regretted that Prime Minister Imran Khan before coming into power had promised the nation to introduce drastic reforms in the police. However, he said, this time the police manhandled and humiliated him more than before his arrest during the PML-N government.

However, Butt said he was and would remain a ‘tiger’ of Imran Khan.
