KARACHI: The election for the office-bearers and members of the governing body of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, for 2021-2022 will be held on Dec 20, said Commissioner Iftikhar Shallwani, who is the chief election commissioner, said a press release issued by the council on Friday.

This time round, due to the pandemic, the standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be followed on election day, it said.

The general body session has been called on Dec 12. Candidates’ nomination papers will be scrutinised on Dec 9 and the list of the final candidates will be put up on the council’s notice board on Dec 10.

Voting on Dec 20 will be held from 10am till 8pm.
