As a result, nine of the bus passengers, including Salma bibi, Tahira bibi, Mansoor Ali, Hafeez Ahmed, Yousaf, Ali Raza, Javid, Usman Majeed and Shahbaz, were injured.

The injured persons were shifted to the Social Security Hospital, Manga and the local rural health centre (RHC).

The bus driver fled the scene following the accident.

In another incident, a man and his son died when the bike they were riding was hit by a tractor-trolley on Jamber Road near Rehmanpura locality in the limits of Changa Manga police station.

Police said Ghulam Nabi of village Dostpura, with his father Yasin, was going to Kasur when a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite side hit the motorcycle they were riding.

As a result, both father and son died on the spot.

Passersby, however, nabbed the driver and handed him over to police.
