Moving menace

Published November 15, 2020

HEAVY vehicles using the extreme right-side lanes while overtaking other similar vehicles is an easy recipe for disaster, but that is a common sight on Karachi roads, as seen in the picture above related to the area close to the main signal near the Boat Basin leading to Mai Kolachi Road. That it is a sheer violation of traffic rules is omething that goes without saying.

The road in question is a hub of heavy vehicles, coming from, or moving to, the seaport in Keamari. These vehicles are seen driving at high speed, causing danger to senior citizens, lady driver, families and to all commuters at large. And this happens despite the presence of traffic police on the road almost round the clock. Anyone listening?
