SARGODHA: A minor girl was gang-raped allegedly by a son of a landlord and his servant in the area of Chak 36-NB, about 20km from here on Monday.

As per police report, the nine-year-old girl along with her younger brother was grazing cattle in the fields when an unidentified young man, son of a landlord, raped her while his servant (identified in the report) stood guard.

The FIR was registered by Saddar Police under Section 376 PPC.

The father of the victim girl told the media that his minor daughter was gang-raped by both the suspects and her condition was critical.

He alleged that police did not register a case of gang-rape and they did not include the name of son of the landlord and nominated only his servant. He said police forced him to sign a blank paper.

When newsmen asked him to identify the son of the landlord, he said his family were received threats from the landlord’s family. He said he would identify the other suspect if he was given security.

Investigating officer Sub-Inspector Akhtar Hiussain refuted the allegations of the girl’s father, saying that both the suspects would be arrested after the statement of the girl and if the reports of medical ad DNA tests showed it as a gang-rape case. He said police were not favouring anybody.
