RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday appreciated the Frontier Works Organisation’s (FWO)capacity building efforts for mega projects.

The COAS stated this during a visit to the FWO headquarters where he was given a detailed briefing on development projects undertaken by the organisation, said an Inter-Services Public Relations press release.

The army chief expressed satisfaction over the progress and issued direc­tives for ensuring timely completion of the projects of national importance.

Appreciating the public-private partnership initiatives, he said the private sector must be supported in greater national interest.

Earlier on his arrival, the COAS was received by Engineer-in-Chief Lt Gen Moazzam Ejaz and FWO Director General Maj Gen Kamal Azfar.
