The second wave

WHILE the world tightens its restrictions and braces itself for the second wave of Covid-19, the opposition continues to play politics. A case in point is the recent rally at the Bagh-i-Jinnah in Karachi where opposition parties were seen violating the coronavirus SOPs.

It is startling that the PPP, which supported and imposed a complete lockdown at the beginning of the pandemic, was at the forefront of such blatant violation.

Experts around the world have warned of a surge in Covid-19 cases during the fall, and the resurgence of new cases in Europe and New Zealand should be a lesson for the world at large.

But the opposition is using the public for its own good and putting their lives on the line.
