BATKHELA/CHARSADDA: Five people were killed in separate incidents of firing in Batkhela and Charsadda districts on Wednesday.

A man shot himself dead before killing his mother-in-law, a neighbour and injuring his wife and father-in-law in Markazabad area of Batkhela.

According to officials at the Levies post Batkhela, a women dispute led to the incident. The bodies and the injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, Batkhela. The Levies post registered FIR and started investigations.

Meanwhile, a man and a woman were killed in a clash between rival groups over graveyard land in Sherdin Kallay area in the limits of Sar Dheri police station of Charsadda district.

Jehan Zeb, brother of deceased Ayub, got registered FIR against Amir Rehamn and Jan Mohammad, while Jan Mohammad, husband of the deceased woman, nominated Jehan Zeb, Alam Zeb, and Syed Alam in the cross FIR.

The rivals are close relatives.
