The second wave

Published October 17, 2020

THE number of Covid-19 cases are increasing once again and all provinces have reported a sharp rise in the number of new cases. This implies that the dangers posed by the pandemic are still a threat to the population.

When the authorities eased the lockdown, people rushed to the markets, with little regard to the SOPs announced to deal with the virus. These days the markets and restaurants are packed with people. Citizens need to still exercise caution and follow the SOPs.

God forbid, if there is a resurgence and the country has to deal with a second wave of Covid-19, it would be unfair to blame the government as the people ignoring precautionary measures would be responsible for the mess.
