THIS is with reference to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call to chemically castrate rapists. His suggestion is not in consonance with basic human rights.

Crime against women is a major problem all over the world and needs stringent law and order to curb it, but doing what he suggests will be sheer injustice. In the history of criminal justice, it has happened many times that prisoners were found innocent after spending years in incarceration. If somebody is found falsely convicted of rape, his life will be doomed and there will be no way back from there.

Equip women with martial arts and ensure a conducive environment for them inside and outside home.
