LAT test 2020

THE Higher Education Commission conducted a test for admissions in law colleges on Sept 5, in which thousands of students appeared. The HEC has been conducting Law Admission Test since 2018 under the directions of the Supreme Court.

The test for admission to law colleges was first started in 1945 by universities in the United States to gauge students’ aptitude interested in studying law.

The basic function of LAT test in Pakistan is to ascertain and examine the aptitude of students.

The test which was taken by HEC through Education Testing Service (ETS) was conducted in two shifts morning and evening. The test had a total of 100 marks out of which 75 marks were for MCQs and 25 marks was subjective including essay and personal statement.
