FAISALABAD: Satiana police booked three persons and arrested one of them for forcing a man and a woman to pose for the camera in objectionable condition and posting their video clip on social media.

The police said the suspects spotted a man and a woman, in their fifties, sitting in the fields along the motorway (M-3) near Chak 433-GB and started grilling them and making their footage with their mobile phone camera.

They accused the couple of having an intent of committing adultery.

Despite the couple’s denial to have such intentions and entreaties to let them go, the suspects forced them to indulge in sexual conduct and threatened them to post the footage on social media, which they actually did later.

The video clip of the couple went viral, after which Satiana police swung into action and arrested one of the suspects, registering an FIR against them on the complaint of a constable under sections 292, 354, 355, 376-A, 500 and 506-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

A police officer said it seemed the suspects wanted to extract money from the couple by blackmailing them.

However, on getting no money, they posted the clip on social media.

He added that a police constable had been made complainant because in such case the suspects usually force the victim to reconcile with them and get off the hook.

He said one of the suspects had been arrested who revealed the identities of his accomplices who would soon be held as well.
