School exploitation

Published September 13, 2020

WE paid the full admission fee, which was approximately Rs200,000 to a private college in DHA, Karachi, for my daughter’s A level studies. But later owing to various reasons my daughter decided to join another fine college.

We informed the college and the dean well in time so that the seat could be allocated to another student without any financial loss to the college. We have approached the college several times but they refuse to refund our money.

They have just taken our Rs200,000 for nothing. The Constitution safeguards the rights of the citizen and not the money-making policy of an educational institute.

We have sent emails to government officials, apart from lodging a complaint with the Citizen’s portal. We hope someone will hear our cry and help us.
