KP schools

ON Sept 1, private schools were reopened across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is surprising as we know the federal government has decided to reopen educational institutions from Sept 15.

This defiance by private schools’ associations and owners is a revolt against the federal and provincial governments. By resuming educational activities without taking precautionary measures and ignoring standard operating procedures, school owners have put the lives of students in danger.

Furthermore, hurry in reopening private educational institutions clearly shows school owners seek financial gains while ignoring children’s safety.

The SDEOs and district education officers should not sit idle. They must come forward to stop these institutions from violating government orders and hold Covid-19 tests of students.
