RAWALPINDI: Additional Inspector General of Police Punjab Highway Patrol Zafar Iqbal has directed the police to improve their performance.
The AIG asked regional officers to direct their district officers and in-charges to improve their performance in all areas of responsibility.
“Those who have completed three years tenure in offices must be transferred out and should not be posted against any other position at least for three years,” the AIG said.
He issued the directives while chairing a meeting of the regional officers of Punjab.
The AIG also directed that transfer and posting on attachment and temporary basis should not be carried out in future. Regional officers should ensure that no one is posted on a temporary basis by violating the three-year tenure policy.
He also directed the ROs that the practice of permanent shift duty with the same group be discouraged and all personnel/shift in-charges may be rotated in all groups.
Senior Superintendent of Police PHP Rawalpindi Sajid Kiayani suggested creating a WhatsApp group at the PHP headquarters where important events could be shared.
