MUZAFFARGARH: A man killed his wife and daughter over a domestic issue at Shah Jamal on Tuesday.

Tahir exchanged harsh words with his wife and daughter in the morning and opened fire on them, killing them on the spot.

The Shah Jamal police registered a case against the suspect and arrested him. Police sent the bodies of both the women to hospital for post-mortem.

ACTION: District Police Officer Syed Nadeem Abbas took action against Assistant Sub-Inspector Mazhar for torturing a suspect in custody.

The DPO issued orders for registration of a case against ASI Mazhar for torturing one Zubair who was booked in a case.

In another incident, the DPO suspended SHO Mahmood Kot Rizwan Baloch from service for torturing a labourer who was participating in a demonstration over non-payment of salaries. SHO Rizwan beat the labourer while other protesters made videos of the incident that went viral on the internet.
