TAXILA: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam said the government is taking every possible measure to facilitate the citizens under the prevailing situation of Covid-19.

He expressed these views while inaugurating filtration plants in Jassian rural area of Attock and at F-Block of the city.

Mr Amin said 45 water filtration plants will be installed in different areas of the district, including Hazro and Hassanabdal, for which Rs60 million had been allocated.

He said directives have been issued to the concerned authorities to provide job opportunities to the locals in Ghazi Barotha Hydro Power Project, PAC Kamra and POF Sanjwal while gas will be provided to 35 villages of NA 56, especially tehsil Jand and Pindigheb.

He said the government has realised the severity of the economic and financial problems of the people, especially the poor and working class, and was taking steps to overcome the issues arising out of the pandemic.

He said the prevailing coronavirus situation is adversely affecting the labour class, and the government will utilise all available sources to provide relief to them.
