As many as 6,498 violations of the coronavirus health guidelines issued by the government were recorded across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre.

Taking action over the violations, more than 441 shops and markets were sealed, 1,231 transport vehicles were stopped and fines were imposed on them.

Among the total, 2,227 violations were recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,845 in Punjab, 586 in Balochistan, 551 in Sindh, 48 in Islamabad, 221 in Azad Kashmir and 120 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
