LHC’s former judge Zahid Bokhari passes away

LAHORE: Former Lahore High Court judge and ex-prosecutor general of Punjab Zahid Bokhari passed away here on Saturday.

He was the father of PML-N Punjab information secretary MPA Azma Bokhari.

He had contracted the Covid-19 and was being treated in a hospital where he breathed his last.

Zahid Bokhari served as an LHC judge in the 1990s.

The funeral prayers for the deceased will be held on Sunday (today) after Asr prayers at Gulzar Fatima Park, Jehangirabad, Sheikhupura.

“Deeply grieved to learn about the passing away of eminent lawyer Syed Zahid Bokhari, the father of Azma Bokhari, PML-N’s dedicated Secretary Information Punjab. May Allah rest the departed soul in peace! My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,” PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif said in a tweet.
