SWABI: In-laws of a woman on Sunday killed her father, brother and another relative when she called them to rescue her from their torture in Sheikh Dheri village here, police said.

Members of the victims’ family said the woman called her father that her three in-laws had badly beaten her up and that her head was bleeding. She told him that she wanted to come to her parents’ home, but she was not being allowed by her in-laws as her husband was in abroad.

They said the woman’s father along with a son reached the house of her daughter, where after noticing them, her in-laws allegedly opened fire, killing both on the spot.

In the meantime, they said a nephew of woman’s father also reached the spot, but he was also shot dead.

A brother of the woman got registered an FIR against the three accused in Chota Lahor police station.

Meanwhile, Abdul Tahir, a former nazim, and his brother, Rafiq Khan, were killed when the car they were travelling in overturned near the Swabi Interchange.
