RAWALPINDI: Two women died in separate incidents in Gulraiz Colony on Monday night, police said.

In the first incident, a woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan of her room in her in-laws’ house. Police said the parents of the woman lived in Chaklala Scheme III.

After the incident, her husband telephoned his mother-in-law and informed her about the incident. The woman’s parents arrived in the house and found their daughter hanging.

The parents lodged a complaint against her husband on the charge of killing her.

Meanwhile, a woman, who was nine months pregnant, was shifted to the hospital after her condition deteriorated. When she reached the hospital, she was pronounced dead.

Police said according to her husband, the couple had their meal before going to bed on Sunday night. However, the actual circumstances would be known once the postmortem report is received, police said.
