RAWALPINDI:The Punjab government has allocated more than Rs13 billion in the budget 2020-21 for promotion of livestock and dairy sector.

This was stated by MPA Mohammad Latasib Satti while discussing the role of the livestock sector in stabilising the economy and the government’s priorities during his visit to the livestock department offices here on Thursday.

He said that government investment and encouragement in this sector would provide economic security to the people in general and a large number of cattle breeders in particular.

He said Pakistan was basically an agricultural country and the stability of the national economy was largely dependent on agriculture, and livestock was the most important component of the agricultural sector.
