LAHORE: In the 2020-21 Annual Development Programme (ADP), 12 ongoing wildlife development schemes have got estimated Rs500 million.

The mega project of 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Programme -- Wildlife Component is under execution on a co-sharing basis with the federal government.

In addition, other major initiatives of the sector are Green Pakistan Programme, Revival of Wildlife Resources in Punjab, Improvement and Development of Jallo Safari, Lahore, Improvement and Development of Chashma Barrage Wetland Biodiversity and establishment of a zoo at Sargodha.

In information and culture, four ongoing initiatives and one new scheme will be completed in 2020-21 and Rs200 million has been allocated in the ADP.

The Archeology Department under Annual Development Programme has been allocated Rs300 million. The completion of 11 ongoing schemes and one new scheme have been envisaged in the budgetwhile conservation and development of about 30 monument/sites across the province, conservation of three world heritage sites and five sites on the tentative list of world heritage, upgrade of public facilities like benches, dustbins, drinking water, information boards, at various, Illumination of 13 monuments visible from roadside will be undertaken.
