Sindh's coronavirus tally has surpassed 53,000 after 2,287 new cases were confirmed. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 11,197 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, out of which 2,287 came back positive, taking the provincial total to 53,805.

Shah added that 15 more people lost their lives to the virus, taking the total fatalities to 831. The number of critical patients has risen to 573 while 80 are on ventilators.

The chief minister said that 1,219 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
