PPP leader Shazia Marri, while speaking in the National Assembly has said that the prime minister has contradicted himself while discussing coronavirus in his national addresses.

"In the beginning he said it is nothing more than the flu, now one June 8 he said that people are not taking the virus seriously and are saying that it is just a flu and will only attack the elderly," she said.

"Not once has the prime minister come to the parliament in the time since the virus began. What example is he setting?"

"Religion and faith tells us to take care of each other's lives. However, (in this country) we wear masks out when forced to. We need to understand that we have to save ourselves (from the disease) and also others."
