LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given a stay-order, stopping PCB’s adjudicator from announcing a decision in a disciplinary case against Nouman Butt, who is currently suspended as a member of the Board of Governors.

Nouman’s lawyer Shaighan Ijaz said that on behalf of his client he had filed a writ petition taking the plea that proceedings against Nouman by the adjudicator was unconstitutional and illegal so it should be stopped. He said the copy of the stay order has been handed over to PCB.

Nouman had been suspended after he raised his voice in the BoG meeting held in Quetta in April, 2019, differing over some policies of the PCB chairman Ehsan Mani, including the appointment of Chief Executive Wasim Khan.
