Sardar Dur Mohammad Nasar, senior vice president of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and former adviser to the chief minister on industries, died of coronavirus in a private hospital on Monday.

After contracting Covid-19 earlier this month, he had isolated himself at his residence in Duki. However, he was shifted to Karachi after his condition deteriorated.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has expressed deep sorrow over Nasar's demise.

In a condolence message, Alyani said Nasar was a senior politician and a very sophisticated personality who had played an important role in the politics of Balochistan.
