The two discussed Pakistan's ongoing fight against the novel coronavirus, according to a press release issued by the speaker's office.

Qaiser briefed Mahipala on the country's overall Covid-19 response and appreciated the WHO for coordinating with Pakistan during the crisis.

Mahipala said that the government's overall response to curb the spread of the virus is "praiseworthy", but warned that if people do not take precautionary measures, the disease will spread rapidly.
