Special Assistant to the premier Usman Dar has said that the federal government has decided to "activate in principle" the Tiger Force in Sindh, which will be led by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Radio Pakistan reported.

Dar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the assigning of responsibility of the 154,000 volunteers who registered to the province's governor and "expressed satisfaction over the volunteers' work [in other provinces]".

The SAPM added that the volunteers would be deployed to help people observe precautionary measures against the coronavirus at Ehsaas emergency cash disbursement centres and utility stores across the province.
