Speaking during the second sitting of the special Senate session on Covid-19, he questioned why parliamentarians were not legislating for digitalisation. "The world has been digitalised, this is an opportunity for people to earn from home," he said.

He urged the government to direct banks to provide loans on easy installments for people, especially the youth so they could purchase laptops and smartphones. "We must ensure that each and every person can sit at home and earn," he said.
