PML-N lawmaker Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has asked the government to state its strategy on the coronavirus situation.

"Four ministers have [so far] spoken here. Has anyone told us what is going on here?" he asked. The former premier said that in situations like these, governments first need to promote awareness in the nation.

"One person is the spokesperson [...] Here every minister is giving statements.

"Who is responsible [for this] in this country?"

Abbasi also raised questions over the lockdown policy being implemented in the country, saying that initially, the government said it will not impose a lockdown.

"Later, it was said that the lockdown was being eased, after which the government announced that it will now impose a smart lockdown," he said.
