Information Minister Shibli Faraz says the government could not maintain an indefinite lockdown in the country to control the spread of the coronavirus because it did not have a time frame for when the crisis would be over.
"Given the situation, if we can do both — protect our lives and keep businesses running — that would be the best; we don't have any other options," he said at a post-cabinet briefing.
Faraz said the country's resources are "very little" and it could not keep on giving them away indefinitely.
