Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that it is the responsibility of the people to strictly follow the SOPs and social distancing guidelines after the easing of the coronavirus lockdown.

In a press conference following a cabinet meeting, he said Planning Minister Asad Umar had briefed the cabinet about the virus situation, the initiatives taken by the government and the progress regarding easing of the lockdown.

"If people continue getting ill, then it will have a bad effect on our hospital capacity and limitations. It is the responsibility of the people, it is for your nation," he said, adding that it is not known how long the crisis will last.
