Cement prices raised

KARACHI: Cement prices in northern region jumped by Rs45-50 per 50kg bag to Rs504-508 while rates in southern region remained unchanged at Rs625-650. Increase in cement prices is in addition to the rise in steel bar prices, which were increased by Rs2,000 per tonne by branded steel bar makers and Rs6,000-7,000 per tonne for steel bars made from scrap.
