KARACHI: Bank Alfalah has said that its designated facilities will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays for disbursements under the Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme.

In a press release, Bank Alfalah has said it is proud to be one of the two exclusive partners for delivery of cash under the Ehsaas programme.

To reduce exposure to coronavirus, the bank says, fresh currency notes have been deployed at these locations for disbursement. The designated locations are following strict social distancing measures and Bank Alfalah’s teams are coordinating closely with the government officials for quick processing of cases.

In the first phase of the Ehsaas programme, 1.5 million beneficiaries located in remote areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were asked to visit designated locations where Bank Alfalah teams were also present to ensure smooth delivery.
