GWADAR: Four people, including two mine workers, have been killed after being kidnapped in Panjgur district and the Sharag area of Balochistan.

Levies officials said that two bullet-riddled bodies were found in Gichik Tehsil, some 100km off Panjgur, on Wednesday.

Sources said that the victims, who were identified as Mayer and Mukhtar, were kidnapped eight days ago at gunpoint from the Balgather area.

The Levies force launched an operation for their recovery but their bullet-riddled bodies were found in Gichik. The people of the area informed the local administration about presence of bodies.

“They were shot from a very close range in upper parts of their bodies,” a Levies official said quoting the autopsy report.

After completing medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to their families.

A banned outfit has claimed responsibility on social media for killing them.

In another incident, two coalminers were killed after being kidnapped from the Sharag coalmine area. Their bodies were thrown on a Chowk of Sharag Bazaar.

One of the coalmine workers was identified as Zameen Khan, a resident of Swat district.
