DERA MURAD JAMALI: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that the province is facing shortage of medical equipment and badly needs ventilators, test kits and personal protective gear to contain the spread of coronavirus in the province.

Talking to journalists at the quarantine centre near Dera Allahyar during a visit to Jaffarabad district on Sunday, he said that despite having meagre resources, the provincial government was fighting coronavirus.

He said that it was a wrong perception that the pilgrims returning from Iran were the cause of the spread of coronavirus in the country as during the last 20 days, 900,000 people had come to Pakistan through different borders and by air from various countries and a large number of Covid-19 cases were reported from among them.
