Kidnapping bid foiled

Attock police on Tuesday foiled a bid to kidnap a woman after a shootout with kidnappers and arrested one of them while three others managed to flee.

Police said a woman who married a few days ago came to see her parents along with her husband in village Boota on Hattain Road.

When she was coming back with her husband, four people intercepted the couple and took the woman away. When her husband put up resistance the kidnappers shot and injured him.

Her husband, somehow, managed to inform the police who intercepted the abductors vehicle and recovered the woman after a shootout and arrested the main suspect.
