KARACHI: Half-a-dozen horses will battle it out for honours in the Sunshine Cup when it takes place in the winter Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The cup race which envisaged combined scale order V, VI and VII is the third in racing order and will go over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The fifth and concluding race which is days feature event, scale order II, II and IV has a field of seven horses and will also be contested four-and-a-half furlongs.

Seven horses figures in the fourth and supporting race, scale order IV and V and will be run over similar four-and-a-half furlongs distance.

The first two races that are of lower classifications will go over four furlongs.

Altogether, 33 horses will be seen in action barring last-minute withdrawal (s).

The first race starts at 3pm.
