Balochistan CM seeks suggestions for Reko Diq development

CHAGAI: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani while terming natural resources of the province inheritance of its people has asked authorities concerned to submit viable suggestions regarding development of Reko Diq copper and gold mine.

According to an official handout, during his visit to the Reko Diq mine site on Thursday, Mr Alyani was briefed by secretary mines and minerals Zafar Bukhari on the project.

Mr Alyani is the first chief minister who visited famous Reko Diq mine in Chagai district where he met local tribal elders. While exchanging views with the tribesmen in Balochi, Mr Alyani said his government was committed to utilise the natural resources for betterment of local people. He said he himself was fully aware of issues and problems of Chagai and other parts of Balochistan.
