HARIPUR: A teenage boy was molested allegedly by his two friends in a remote village of Beer union council.

Police quoted brother of the victim as saying here on Thursday that two days ago Sufiyan Afzal and Adil Shakeel, friends of his younger brother, came and asked to allow him to join them to the house of their relative in Kakotri village.

He said that since they used to visit their home he did not object and allowed his brother to go with them. He said that during early hours of Wednesday the two molested his brother at gunpoint. He said that the accused brought his brother and dropped him near their home and threatened him of dire consequences.

The police registered a case against the accused under section 377, 506/34 of the PPC and section 53 of Child Protection Act and have arrested them. The police said that preliminary medical examination had confirmed the rape while the samples had been sent for chemical examination for a detailed report.

Meanwhile, the accused who attempted to molest a four-year-old girl in Khanpur, confessed to his crime before the court of judicial magistrate who sent him on remand to Central Jail, Haripur, here on Thursday.

According to Khanpur police, one Mohammad Ehsan had dragged the minor girl near her home, but she escaped the attempt of sexual assault by crying to draw attention of the villagers.
