LAHORE: The revamped Pakistan Cricket Board’s Cricket Committee will hold its first meeting of the year in Karachi on Wednesday.

Newly appointed chairman of the committee, former Test left-arm spinner Iqbal Qasim will preside over the meeting. The committee, which has the authority to send its recommendations to the PCB chairman, instead of taking any final decision, has to meet four times in one year.

Playing dual role of head coach and chief selector for the first time in Pakistan cricket’s history, former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq will give his presentation to the committee on the national team’s performances.

Head of the women’s cricket department Urooj Mumtaz will present the report on women’s cricket. The committee will also review the domestic season and the ICC’s pitch consultant Andy Atkinson’s report on Pakistani pitches.
